Toll Road
Friday, September 01, 2006

I feel like I took a toll road and my body is paying the price for it. I've been working too much! I suffer from deskitis and I'm feeling the effects. My back is sore, I'm tired, my gut is growing softer every day... it's not good, my friends. There are several entrepreneurs that I know that are in great shape AND they are financially successful. So what I'm I getting at? I need to create some time to take care of my body. If my body is in good shape, it's likely that my mind will also be in better shape. There was a study done a while back (sorry I don't remember the details of it off the top of my head) that showed that entrepreneurs that did regular cardio exercise had higher sales compared to both weight-lifters and couch potatoes.
The difficult part is NOT creating a schedule. In fact, that part is easy. What's difficult is deciding that you need to just do it and not wait until you have the motivation. Motivation will probably occur after you create the habit (which is usually done by forcing yourself to do it).
I'm no expert in this field, so please feel free to comment on how one can be more healthy with a busy work schedule.
